Hotel Barkley

This was PERFECT for a winter weekend in Kentucky. The service was warm and welcoming and the location had everything we needed. There is a steakhouse nearby (delicious!) and 24 hour diner (amazing breakfast!). Gas station and convenience stores in the immediate area, as well.The room was pleasantly large and clean. Recent updates were apparent as the aesthetics of the room were cheerful and welcoming. Bed was comfy, tv was large, but my only suggestion would be to have coffee makers in the rooms. I was told they are looking to re-adding these (these were removed during the pandemic) during the recent turnover and rebrand, which is great! The lobby was decorated nicely for the holiday season. Overall a terrific stay, and with the continued improvements being made, this place should be on your top 5 list of places to stay when in the lake area.

Listen, it's a Days Inn. This is a pretty good one! We have stayed at several Days Inn over the past 6 years, the brand is consistent. Room was clean, in a safe location, decent breakfast offering, staff was outstanding. The building is a little older, but they planned for it. Haven't been in a room where the toilet plunger is readily available (cleaned tho), but again it's an older building. Honestly, appreciate their foresight. Walking distance to 2 great restaurants (one is 24hr), a liquor store and 2 gas stations. Well-maintained Days Inn, with amazing staff is why we always pick a Days Inn when we are road tripping. Will stay again when we are back in town.

We booked this room quickly as the weather became too cold in to stay in our camper. They were kind enough to let us park the camper near our room since hotel was not full. Rooms very clean, older building well maintained. Staff very helpful. Will not hesitate to stay again if the need arises.

Would stay here again! Took off 1 star for underwhelming breakfast. Room 108: Nice room w/laminated floor. Clean and roomy. Room had a dehumidifier which is awesome to keep the humidity down. Beds were comfortably firm as we like them. Small container of shampoo and conditioner - no bottles in the shower/tub like at other Wyndham hotels...bar soap. No coffee maker, but it was not advertised to have had one. Property: Quiet area. Plenty of well-lit parking! Breakfast was underwhelming. There were no hot-choices, on-site brewed coffee was good.

They put a lot of work in updating the rooms. The rooms where clean and spacious. Bed was comfortable. Shower was a little old but it was clean with good pressure. Only problem i had was breakfast fell short but i dont think they deserve a star taken off for it. Staff was friendly. Price was decent also.

Staff were cool and accommodating. Locked myself out of my room twice Lol. The room itself was really nicely decorated and modern and clean. Breakfast was hotel breakfast. The lakes right by and it was pretty. Solo woman traveler and i felt safe in the area.

Clean room, comfy bed. Great place to stay. We were driving home and needed to stop because there were too many deer for the drive to be safe to make in the dark. I'm glad we chose this hotel.

Great spacious and clean rooms for a great price with convenience in walking distance. Only issue was the Internet was pretty spotty and kicked in and out at random. Mentioned this to the front desk and they just replied, "yeah it does that." Otherwise we had a great stay with little to no noise issues and felt very safe. Would definitely stay here again.
